Exploring my creative side more, I taught myself how to sew throughout high school, which sparked my love for fashion and design. I decided to give fashion a real shot, and after graduating, I earned certificates in Fashion and Graphic Design at TAFE, refining my skills in design and patternmaking. Design became my way of relaxing—whether I was sitting in front of a sewing machine or sketchbook, working on my next creation (which, let's be honest, was usually my outfit for the weekend). What I love most about sewing and bringing my designs to life is the ability to be completely unique and have a wardrobe that allows me to express my true self.

At the beginning of 2023, I made the bold decision to quit both my jobs, enroll in a Fashion Business degree, and dedicate all my time to becoming a designer and launching my own label. With every spare minute I have, I pour my heart and soul into FromAbigailAnne. Every garment I create is a reflection of my passion, hard work, and commitment to both fashion and the planet.

As I delved deeper into the fashion industry, I became increasingly aware of the staggering levels of waste and the dominance of fast fashion. The industry's shift away from craftsmanship, thoughtful design, sustainability, and individuality deeply resonated with me. What was once a celebration of artistry has now been replaced by disposable, trend-driven clothing—and this realisation only fueled my passion for sustainability.

I’m now nearing the completion of my Bachelor’s degree in Business, majoring in Fashion, which I’ll finish in August 2025. FromAbigailAnne continues to evolve as I learn new ways to be more sustainable and create unique, eye-catching designs that bring attention to fashion’s true value once again.
